Before North Face, Before Patagonia, and even before Black Diamond there was A5 Adventures the original climbing equipment manufacture. This was Steve’s original inspiration for A5. Then Steve discovered the Icon A5 amphibious aircraft and fell in love with it. Steve has positions on 3 Icon Aircraft and envisions A5 Adventure to evolve into an aviation/boat membership platform across several lake across the western United States.

In it’s first year A5 it taking advantage of all of Steve’s assets to incorporate a number of adventures mainly in the Colorado and Utah region.

Steve Tarrant

A5 Adventures is the product and vision of Steve Tarrant. Steve’s love for adventure began at a very early age when he would go flying with his dad on search and rescue missions in Colorado/Utah for the CAP. With this insight of the mountain from the air he became very intrigued of what the Mountains offered. So, when he turned 19 he moved from California to Colorado to experience it from the ground. Steve landed in Breckenridge and played Rugby for the Blue Goose Rugby team and as a career, Steve started working at Breckenridge Ski Resort as a Ski Patroller/Medic. In addition to being a ski patroller, Steve also did snow grooming at night. It was using a machine to be in the middle of nowhere at night at 13000 feet that planted the seed of machine based adventures. After a couple seasons on the Mountain Steve began a career as a firefighter/Medic which lasted for over a decade. It was during his downtime as a firefighter that Steve discovered arboriculture/tree climbing which eventually led him to become a Certified Arborist. Steve now operates a couple large Landscaping forestry companies across several states.

Steve’s success with his forestry businesses only fueled his love for adventure and allowed him to take it to a level he never thought possible. After accumulating a number of toys such as boats, sprinter vans, snow mobiles, jet skis, and airplanes Steve quickly realized how much of a pain storage, maintenance, and registration can be, then a light bulb went off. What if we create a membership that caters to people who only have the time to play and not deal with all the other stuff? “A worry free adventure!” Hence the idea for A5 adventures was born.
